Planning: Individual Ideas

MY INDIVIDUAL IDEA:

Ive been taking into consideration every single genre and I've come across to one that I've been very interested in. The genre of the film that caught my attention happened to be Horror. This is because its my favourite genre of film to watch but also because its a genre that most people enjoy and can have different reaction while watching. Ive come across many movies, however the one that really caught my attention is orphan as the protagonist appears to be one little innocent child while being a possessed 33 year old women.

Plot idea:

The film will be horror/action based about a girl (Alice pola) who faces a troubled life, as she is in a bad neighborhood, her horrors worsen and worsen, a gang of hoodlums are her terrors, being bullied, day in, day out, she decides to make the most horrifying decision of her life, SUICIDE. At the beginning, theres a innocent teenage girl who is generally considered 'unpopular' and as a result of being so quite, being bullied was the way people recognised her. She decides to make her return as a ghost and haunt her enemies and eventually leads them into a dark pathway just like they made her suffer.

Location:

Ive decided that there will be different locations in my film meaning that my opening title sequence will be mostly based around the streets of London. However some will be in the hallways of my college as well as toilets. Furthermore, we will also be filming some nature shots in the woods.

Props, costumes and makeup:

• Grey toned eyeshadows to create a dead appearance to the protagonist once she's a ghost and adds realism 
• Fake blood 
• White face paint in order to conceive a unhealthy look and to portray the idea that she doesn't have a soul 
• kitchen knife as a symbol of the suicide thats taken place
• Dark clothes to add to the theme of horror
•  Bare foot to give a sense of loneliness and isolation.

• The Grudge

Soundscape:

I will use various types of sound such as diegetic e.g.footsteps or cracks and foley. I would want the sound to be very slow, almost as if someone is humming to portray a tense atmosphere.This would engage the audience as they'll be intrigued by what will happen next.

Characters:

• Murderer/Psychopath 
• Victims that run away from her.
